Vandana Pant Joins Health Trust as Director of Fund Development

This week Vandana Pant joined The Health Trust, a Silicon Valley nonprofit foundation, as the organization’s new Director of Fund Development. Pant will oversee the fundraising activities of the Foundation which raises almost $7 million in direct operating funds annually to support its vision of making Silicon Valley the healthiest region in America.

“We are thrilled to have Vandana join our Health Trust team,” says Health Trust CEO Frederick J. Ferrer. “Her fund development expertise in Silicon Valley will be critical to our continued success.”

Pant has 15 years of experience with development, communications and direct services in the nonprofit and public-benefit sector. Prior to joining The Health Trust, Pant was the Director of Development at Montalvo Arts Center where she led strategy on development efforts and offered key direction for organizational management and communications as a member of the senior management team.

Prior to her tenure at Montalvo, she served as an organizational consultant at Forward Progress, a consulting and management firm based in San Francisco, and offered development and strategic management counsel to diverse nonprofit organizations.

Pant has worked with a range of health and human services, educational and arts organizations in San Jose, Chicago, Washington DC and India and served as a grant reviewer for the Rehabilitation Services Administration in Washington, D.C. She was a founding advisor to the Global Commons Foundation, San Francisco, an organization that supports creative practitioners in advancing alternatives for a democratic and sustainable global future.

Pant received her Master’s Degree in Communications from the Mass Communications Research Center in New Delhi and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Delhi University.
