The Health Trust Hires Director of Organizational Wellness

December 9, 2008, Campbell, CA – As part of its new Healthy Living Initiative, The Health Trust has appointed Krisna Hanks as Director of Organizational Wellness. Hanks brings over 20 years of experience in wellness to The Health Trust.

              Through its organizational wellness efforts, The Health Trust aims to improve the health of its own employees and the health of employees at Silicon Valley businesses, government agencies, nonprofits and faith based institutions, by helping them to develop their own workplace wellness programs.

              “Krisna’s extensive background working with organizations to improve their employee’s health and well being will be a wonderful asset both to the employees of The Health Trust and to our community partners” states Frederick J. Ferrer, Chief Executive Officer of The Health Trust.

              As a successful entrepreneur Krisna cofounded East Bay Pilates and developed the Pilates program for Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville. Most recently she directed “Total Health” a community outreach program focused on health and wellness topics for the East Bay area. Her corporate fitness career includes working for international executives and companies such Gianni Agnelli, former CEO Fiat Corporation in Turin, Italy; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Traub, former CEO Bloomingdales and his wife, as well as Ed Meyer CEO Grey Advertising in New York City.

              “I am excited to be a member of such a talented team of individuals who share my passion and enthusiasm for the creation of healthier lifestyles and more physical activity!” says Hanks.

              Ms. Hanks completed her Master of Business Administration from the University of San Francisco and holds a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University. Hanks is co-marketing director for the Association of Women MBA’s and on the Emeryville City Council Park Avenue Advisory Committee.
