Silicon Valley’s Premiere Showing of MILK to Benefit The Health Trust AIDS Services Producer Dan Jinks of American Beauty Will Speak at the December 4, 2008 Event
November 13, 2008, CAMPBELL,CA - On December 4, 2008 The Health Trust will host the Silicon Valley premiere of MILK, the heroic story of San Francisco activist and politician Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in America. MILK, starring Sean Penn and Josh Brolin, chronicles the life and death of the openly gay supervisor including his assassination by Supervisor Dan White in 1978. The movie is expected to win critical acclaim.
The film is directed by Gus Van Sant and produced by Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen, who won the Best Picture Academy Award as producers of American Beauty. Dan Jinks will attend the Silicon Valley premier and discuss his views on the film and Milk’s life and legacy.

Ferrer. “Harvey Milk’s inspirational work which called us to offer hope is exactly the focus of the work of The Health Trust’s AIDS Services where we offer hope and support to people living with HIV/AIDS in Silicon Valley.”
The reception begins at 6:00 pm, with Jinks speaking at 7:00 pm and the film starting at 7:30 pm at the Camera 7 Cinemas, at the Pruneyard, Campbell. Tickets are available for $25 at www.healthtrust.org . All proceeds benefit The Health Trust AIDS Services.
