LOIs submitted by November 18 will be reviewed and The Health Trust will make a follow-up call the week of November 28 to provide feedback on the LOI and guidance on preparing a full proposal.

If received after November 18, The Health Trust will provide guidance as time allows

Convergence Partnership http://www.convergencepartnership.orgThe Convergence Partnership is a collaboration of funders with the shared goal of changing policies and environments to better achieve the vision of healthy people living in healthy places. This site is useful for understanding multi-field, equity-focused efforts to create environments that support healthy eating and active living.

California Center for Public Health Advocacy http://www.publichealthadvocacy.orgThe Center is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization that addresses the growing epidemic of childhood obesity by advocating for state and local public policies that promote healthy eating and physical activity. This site is useful for policy analysis and strategies for (1) physical education in public schools, (2) expanding access to healthy food in communities, and (3) assuring implementation of school nutrition standards.

Prevention Institute http://www.preventioninstitute.org
Prevention Institute synthesizes research and practice; develops prevention tools and frameworks; and conducts training and strategic consultation with government, foundations, and community-based organizations. This is a useful site for tools such as ENACT, a hands-on assessment and planning tool for those interested in improving food and physical activity environments.

Public Health Law and Policy http://www.phlpnet.org
PHLP is a team of attorneys, policy analysts, and urban planners dedicated to building healthy communities nationwide. This is a useful site for tools, templates, reports and technical assistance related to land use for healthy places.
