Healthy Food Resource
The Health Trust is pleased to release the Healthy Food Resource Assessment for Santa Clara County, conducted by Public Health Law and Policy. This ground-breaking assessment provides baseline information about existing local healthy food resources, including community gardens, school gardens, farmers markets, and community supported agriculture (CSA). More importantly, the assessment identifies access barriers and gaps in resources for low-income residents and provides recommendations to eliminate these inequities. The report’s findings will guide The Health Trust Healthy Living Initiative’s funding strategies. The assessment was funded by The Health Trust and the Clarence E. Heller Charitable Foundation.
